Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies Holds a Scientific Lecture on the Jewish Question, Orientalism, and the Transformations of Conflict in the Horizon of Armageddon

The Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies, in cooperation with the Iraqi Media Network, hosted Dr. Naji Al-Fatlawi to deliver a specialized scientific lecture entitled: “The Jewish Question and Orientalism: From the Production of Knowledge to the Ignition of Religious War in the Horizon of Armageddon,” with the participation of a number of researchers, academics, and those interested in intellectual and strategic affairs.

The lecture addressed the historical and intellectual dimensions of the Jewish question, and the role of Orientalism in shaping patterns of knowledge related to the East, as well as its repercussions on the construction of political and religious perceptions in contemporary international relations, while shedding light on the employment of religious and ideological discourses in fueling conflicts and reshaping the concepts of the clash of civilizations.

The lecture also discussed the concept of “Armageddon” as one of the concepts ated in religious and political literature, analyzing its presence in some contemporary geopolitical readings, and the extent of the influence of religious narratives in shaping trends of conflict and producing future perceptions of the international order.
