Al-Nahrain Center Holds a Meeting to Discuss the National Strategy for Enhancing Dialogue and Participation in Iraq

The Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies held a specialized meeting to discuss the national strategy for enhancing dialogue and participation in Iraq, in cooperation with the German organization GIZ, and with the participation of representatives from government entities and institutions concerned with implementing the strategy’s programs, on Monday, 27/4/2026.

The meeting witnessed the participation of a number of specialists and relevant stakeholders, with the aim of discussing the fundamental pillars of the strategy and mechanisms for its development in a way that contributes to strengthening societal dialogue and consolidating the principle of participation in decision-making.

The meeting addressed the main features of the strategy and its primary and secondary objectives, with a focus on developing communication channels between the state and society, enhancing active participation in public issues, as well as reviewing the main axes, which included developing the legislative framework and raising the level of societal awareness.
