Al-Nahrain Center affirms water scarcity as a national priority during a specialized meeting with the Women’s Advisory Team in Baghdad

Within the framework of its research and advisory role in support of decision-makers, Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies – Energy, Water and Environment Department hosted a high-level specialized meeting held by the Women’s Advisory Team supporting local governments in Baghdad, dedicated to discussing a policy paper on water scarcity and consumption rationalization in Iraq.

This meeting comes within the direction of Al-Nahrain Center to strengthen institutional dialogue on issues of national priority, particularly the water resources file, as it represents one of the most prominent strategic challenges related to national security and environmental stability.

Representatives of the Council of Representatives and government institutions expressed their appreciation for the role played by Al-Nahrain Center in bringing together relevant stakeholders and providing an effective dialogue environment, emphasizing the importance of strengthening partnership with advisory and research teams, especially in the water sector, which represents a national priority.
