Women’s Affairs Department at the National Security Advisory Organizes a Training Workshop on Open-Source Intelligence

The Women’s Affairs Department at the National Security Advisory, in cooperation with the NATO Mission in Iraq, organized its ninth training workshop within the framework of the joint training program, held from 11 to 12 January 2026 at the Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies.

The workshop was titled “Open-Source Intelligence” and was conducted with the participation of experts and advisors from the NATO Mission. It aimed to develop the skills of a group of female employees working at the National Security Advisory, in addition to female members from the security services, within the framework of ongoing efforts to enhance women’s professional competence and empower them in the fields of security and intelligence work.

The workshop witnessed notable interaction and extensive discussions by the participants on the training themes presented, and it concluded with the distribution of participation certificates to the trainees.
