Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies participated in the panel discussion titled “Transportation during the Arbaeen Pilgrimage: Challenges and Prospects for Performance Improvement,” organized by the Department of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Karbala, in cooperation with the Karbala Center for Studies and Research at the Holy Hussaini Shrine.

The symposium was held in the main hall of the Presidency of the University of Karbala on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, with the presence of a distinguished group of academics and specialists to discuss the key challenges facing the transportation sector during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, and to review scientific approaches capable of enhancing performance and improving the services provided to pilgrims.

Al-Nahrain Center was represented in this event by Dr. Laith Al-Allaq and researcher Ahmed Muzahim, whose participation came as part of the Center’s efforts to support scientific initiatives that contribute to addressing developmental challenges and enhancing the efficiency of service sectors in Iraq.
