Al-Nahrain Center Conducts an Awareness Workshop on Water Conservation and Its Impacts on Iraqi National Security at the Ministry of Culture

Mr. Jawad Al-Khaikani, Head of the Energy, Water, and Environment Department at Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies, delivered a specialized awareness workshop at the Fayli Cultural House affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, titled: “Awareness in Water Conservation and Its Impacts on Iraqi National Security.”

The workshop addressed a number of key topics, most notably: the importance of promoting a culture of rational water consumption, the water challenges facing Iraq amid climate change and resource scarcity, in addition to analyzing the repercussions of poor water management on national security—particularly food, demographic, and economic security.
